2013 Annual General Meeting (AGM)

The annual meeting will be held during the New Hampshire Highland Games, September 20-22, 2013 in, New Hampshire.  The meeting will be held at the Clan tent at the Highland Games.  Room reservations must be made by August 1st at the Beacon.

Ulster Johnstons

In the early 1600's, there was a period of extreme hardship in Scotland.  Hoping to better their way of life or by royal decree, many Scots migrated to Ulster, an unsettled land.  Among these early settlers were many Johnstons.  In fact, so many Johnstons migrated there that it is often said the there were more Johnstons in Northern Ireland than in Scotland.  Their descendants are denoted as Scotch-Irish.  In later years, many of these Scotch-Irish Johnstons in turn migrated to America.
